Personally, I would get rid of it. It is ugly and in the way.
However, it doesn't hurt your performance that much if at all.
the choice is yours. Your engine will run with or with out it just fine.

it depends

if it is all intact and works fine then theres no real reason to not put it back, unless you dont have emissions inspections where you are and if you dont like the clutter of it all

its up to you, we cant answer for you, it is all up to your preference

good luck

If its all working, then its not hurting anything. You won't gain any power by removing it.

I'm not a tree-hugger particularly, but if the equipement works and you loose nothing, why not keep it?

The only thing gained by removing the smog equipment is just a 'simpler' engine compartment with more room to boot, and less that can potentially cause problems later. I removed mine because the previous owner started removing it, but did a hack job and didnt finish removing it. If he just left it all alone, and it was all somewhat functional, I probably would have just left it alone. At least, untill the car started turning into a race car anyway...

Agreed... all I'm saying though, is that if you are doing it in search of power, you will be disappointed. If its for esthetics or play room, then thats cool, I wouldn't argue with that.
