350 TPI to a 350 carb'd questions please help!!!!
Hello, I bought a carb'd 350 to drop in my 88 irocz and The TPI wiring harness is still in the engine compartment and i was wondering what wires I can cut out? I want everything to work still (radio, gauges, lights, windshield wipers, etc...). I am using the stock electric fuel pump also. I just want to eliminate the stuff i do not need. thanks if you could give me the color of the wires to eliminate that would be great also. thanks a bunch please help me!!

What you don't need is contained in a large bundle that goes to the passenger side fender, through the kick panel on the passenger side.
But, don't cut anything. That's wasteful and something you may want down the road, or someone else could use. It can all be unbolted/disconnected with the TPI and what mounts on the firewall, etc., and the harness itself can be disconnected at that kick panel pass-through connector. The wiring for ignition power and gages goes through the firewall on the driver's side, and you can disconnect/reterminate that stuff as needed.
About the only thing that you might need is the transmission torque converter lock-up harness, which can be separated out of the rest of the harnessing and left in place. You're going to need to set that up somehow or another, as it is operated by the ECM and won't work if you remove the EFI.
