Will my crossmember work?

I'm doin a non-emissions v-6 to v-8 swap. Will my 2004r crossmember work with a 7004r? I got someone to trade me for my th-350. And it's kinda an obvious answer but can I use the same driveshaft?

Let's understand exactly which transmission you have. If it is a stock 1990 model 4-speed auto, it's a TH700R-4, which is mounted the same and uses the same driveshaft as the V8 TH700R-4.

I'm gonna have to check my title again on the year. I'm almost positive it's a 90', but it could be a 91. It's one of those years and the fact is it has the new interior. That's how I know. Airbag and all. Is there a differance in the two year rs's? Did both have 700's?

So, you won't need a different crossmember or driveshaft, but you will need a different transmission. The V6 and V8 transmissions are the same length and the like, but the bellhousing pattern is different.
