If you want to use a V6 5 speed with V8 I don't think it will work. The V6 trans has a different input shaft.

The V6 5-speed will bolt to a V8 bellhousing, but that's about where the good news ends.

You'll need a V8 flywheel, bellhousing and pressure plate. Get an S10 V6 clutch disk, should have the same spline size as the V6 input shaft. Try a search, it's been discussed.

You could use a V6 disk, but it would be very small. And, you'd have to use a V8 pressure plate because of the flywheel.

Make sure you put a pilot bearing in the V8 crankshaft, or your V6 transmission won't be long for this world. As it is, you'll have to really baby the V6 tranny with a V8 in front of it.
