Re: 2.8 swap to a 350 motor and tranny

the things you will need, 1-new motor mount for the frame. 2-you will have to run new fuel line. the 2.8 fuel pump is on the opposite side of the motor than a 350. 3-bigger radiator. and thats it. the tranny crossmember will work the same, but the tranny for the 2.8 is different than the one for the 350. I had to do all this my self not to long ago. good luck

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

The TH350 won't have provisions for mounting the differential torque arm. You'll need a kit that provides that mounting. Available from Summit and Jegs.

You'll have to move the tranny crossmember up because the TH350 is shorter than the T5 you're taking out. This requires a longer crossmember.

Engine mounts on the front crossmember? They should line up without drilling holes. You do need to move the brake line to the back of the crossmember so the mounts don't sit on top of it.

Did you read the V6 to V8 sticky at the top of this forum?
