Well the diagrams I have are pretty much useless.
I recently (yesterday) ripped out the stock 305 (carb) and dropped in a built 396 small block.
It's from the stone age but is far more potent than the OEM anvil that was in there...
My question is what are the best diagrams? I need to convert the harness to run this engine by friday... I am about to just rip it all out and start from scratch, but I still need to know what to keep to have the guages function.

Well, since you labeled everything as you disassembled the stock engine for removal, you need the alternator wiring, the engine coolant temperature sender in the driver's side head, the engine cooling fan switch in the passenger side head, the power and tach wires that went to the coil, and the oil pressure sending unit wire. Depending upon what you are doing for the fuel system, you may need the oil pressure switch as well.
