305 to 350 Engine change.
That son of mine took my 85 sport coupe to a performance garage to have a new cam, intake, and headers installed to give the 305 a little get up and go. After a couple of weeks I started bitching about how long it was going to take. Well, the Camaro showed up last Saturday and to my shock, the Boy had a new GM 350 HO 330 HP engine installed. It has the 620 CFM TBI with 454 Injectors setting on a Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, complete MSD Ignition with the Ignition Control Box 6AL, Hedman Headers, and a Tuned Chip. The Chip was what took so long. It has a 3.42 rearend and 700R4 trans. I think the cam is a GM 440/460 flat tappet. The mid-range is fantastic!!! Does Grandpa have a ride or not. The 350 is a different world people. PS: Kids are ok sometimes, know what I mean...

Now that's a cool story.
When I did cam, intake, headers, ported heads on the 305 with higher stall converter, my response was, "Now, that's how a 305 is supposed to run."
When the 350 shortblock went in with the rest of the 305 stuff still there, all I could say is, "Wow!"
Next stop, LS1/T56. . .
