L03 to L05?????

I can get a 350 tbi out of a blazer for cheap, i know the owner and he's had it rebuilt it only has about 40,000 on it. Its out of a 1987 Blazer, will it bolt up just fine? Also if i was gonna buy headers for it do i buy headers for the blazer or for a 350 camaro? b/c i know the blazers engine bay has alot more room and will not fit the headers in the camaro.... i guess waht i'm asking is will camaro headers bolt of to the 350 out f the blazer? Can i also buy vortec heads and stuff for it too? Thanks

Re: L03 to L05?????

The 350/305 stuff is all interchangeable. You'll need to get headers for the camaro. If your going to buy the newer vortec iron heads be aware that the intake bolt pattern is different and your TBI intake isn't going to bolt up.
I think edlebrock makes a Vortec TBI intake.. if they don't then I'd get the carb style vortec intake and use a Trans-dapt adaptor to install your TBI if your going to keep it injected. Might want to check if the 350's got bigger injectors than the 305's back in the day. It'll start/run drive with the 305 injectors/ecm... just migh be a touch lean on the top end.

The TBI forum is the place for all of those details.

I understand it's a swap question. What you need to understand is the best information about 350 TBI swaps is on the TBI forum.

I know of a few LO5's that had rod bearing problems. Also know of a '94 with over 250k miles on it, never been opened up.
