92 camaro 3.1 swap to bigger V6
92 camaro 3.1 swap to bigger V6
I was looking to change out my 3.1 liter in my 92 Camaro to a 3.8 liter (out of a Pontiac Bonneville or something similar) i was wondering what kind of work is involved in this swap. Does anyone know ow much work/money or where i can find this information. Maybe there is another 6 cly. that would be easier? Thanks

Re: 92 camaro 3.1 swap to bigger V6
ive hear that its alot of work for the 3.8 v6 too, not sure i love the one in my 99 daily driver camaro. it will move when i need it too, gave me alot of respect for a v6, i think if u were to go through the hassel for the 3.8 u might as well get a v8 unless u just dont like 8 cylinders....3.4 seems common and potent enough.... yes, 3.4 is easier. The 3800II would've been eaier in mine if I already had a vss yr car, and a 97+ pcm to program out vats/paskey crap. but then, I did get teh engine/tranny for a good deal & only had to spend $80 on engien mount brackets ( i think pics in the fab forum )
