engine and tranny NEEDED

ok so im looking for a stock 5.7L v8 and the matching 5 speed tranny, for my 89 camaro, its not the actual stock engine in this car, but its the one i want... anyone that can help me i have plenty to offer in trade,

i have an 89 rs camaro rolling chassis
i have a sleeved sbc 350 engine
i have a TH350 tranny

im into camaro restoration, and the 89 is my first project, i want to do a complete one before i do any other years.

let me know if you can help, i am in southeastern wisconsin.

just keep checking craigslist or maybe try talking local wrencher, the more you pay attention to whats out there the quicker it comes to you

As far as a matching 5 speed there was never a 350 5 speed from the factory in a third gen f-body. T-5's arn't the strongest trannies in the world but they will survive behind a 350 provided you don't beat on it too much and take it easy on it. I ran one in my old rs for several years with no troubles. If you have the money there are better options out there if you are planning on a high powered application. Why are you looking for another 350 if you already have one? Why not use what you have and simply find a t-5 to throw in back of it? Was this car origionally automatic or was it stick? If it was origionally auto you would probably do best finding everything you need at a local you-pull-it type yard, that's what I did, or find a donor car for parts.
