Problem!
I'm doing an engine swap from a 1987 305 TPI engine to a 1989 Corvette TPI engine.
The intake manifold on the 87 has some sensor that the 89 doesn't. It's on the right side of the manifold.
If I'm using the wire harness from the 1987 onto the 1989 engine and computer will it be a problem?

If you're using the '89 computer, it won't have any use for the cold start injector.
I would assume the harnesses would otherwise be pinned the same, but I don't know that for a fact. A circuit diagram of each system would be in order.
Or, ask on the TPI forum if an '87 harness will work with an '89 engine & computer.

Re: Problem!
Alright then so just leave everything as it is?
The mechanic is worrying about my check engine light is gonna be on because of that ninth injector. Is this true?
Or is the computer not even going to be looking for that ninth injector?
