Headers from a trans am and a Camaro are interchangeable, as long as they both have SBC's and are third gens.

I did a sbc 400 swap into my 89 Camaro that had a 305 in it originally. Headers will be exactly the same mounting/fitting.

Re: 305 to 400...header questions?????
what radiator did you use? i still have the stock one (its the 305 one) do i need to go any bigger?
the turbo 350 trans doesnt line up with the mounts on my car, is it ok just to make a bracket that moves to mount, or should i move the mount itself to the trans?
anyone have a drive shaft i can buy that will fit this thing? the one i have is to short, or a place i can buy one...
thanks for the help so far..

I stuck with the stock rad, used the stock electric fan (always on), water wetter, and a 160 thermostat. got a bit warm, but nothing dangerous.
as for the trans, i had a th350, but apparently got the right length tailshaft, as it was perfect length for the driveshaft. did have to buy a b&m adapter kit to allow me to stick with the stock crossmember and use the torque arm

To use your stock driveshaft you will need to get a long tailshaft th350, or use a driveshaft from an '82 f-body.
Edit: Long tailshaft th350's are usually found in trucks.
