Newbi needs help!!

Hi friends, I have a 92 rs camaro with a 350 tbi and 350 turbo tranny with shift kit, stock rear end as far as i know. I have been having way to many problems with the current engine, running hot , running ruff and stalling constantly. I have replaced every sensor ect ect". I want to convert to carburated ,just want my car back on the road and i have 3 options for a replacement engine fairly cheap. 1 is a 305 with 350 heads, 2 is a small block 400, and 3 is a 1963 283 with 25000 original miles. Can anyone tell me my best option as this car is an everyday driver. thank you

For reliability and least issues, the 305 would probably net you the best option for a daily driver. As for power, the 400 would be the best, even in stock form. The 283...i would never waste my time on one.

Re: Newbi needs help!!

Why not carburate the 350? By getting rid of the computer and it's sensors, tracking down the issues should be much easier (unless you think you have a cracked head or something serious). It takes all the same goodies to carburate a 305 as it does to carburate a 305, and a 350 makes a ton of difference!

Re: Newbi needs help!!

well that was a though at first i already have a 350 intake. what all else will i need? do i need to change the heads where as the intake has a different bolt patern? I can get a set of heads for 75 bucks. will an inline fuel pump work without removing my old pump?? Thanks alot for you replies, my dodge caravan just isnt doing it for me, lol.
