305 to 350
Im swapping my POS 305 with a 1979 chevy 350. Passing smog is a must for me so i think im going to keep the TBI set up. My question is can i take the manifold and TBI off of my 305 and bolt them onto my 350? Also i would like to make this build semi performance, will that be difficult with a TBI setup?

To start a '79 engine isn't legal to install into a '92 chassis.
Then, the TBI manifold won't bolt directly to the (junk) '79 350 heads without modification. In '87, the center two intake mount bolts were changed to 72 degrees.
The crank/block are 2-piece rear main seal through 1985, vs. 1-piece for '86-up. Requires a different flexplate.
The TBI forum is the better place to ask about TBI performance.
