To change a 305tbi to a 350tpi...
I am thinking about changing my little '91 305 tbi(130K and still running good) out with a '88 iroc 350 tpi(95K). Will the t-5 for the 305 switch quite easy? Will I have to do alot of re-wireing?
Pretty much what I am asking is will it be a pain in the a*s to do this swap?

Well if you have to ask the question you obviously never swapped an engine before. So to answer your question...
YES it is a PITA if you've never done one before

I am wondering the same thing, could someone actually reply to this thread, and not leave some smart @$$ reply?

Well, I don't have TBI, but I've got a TPI set-up that I've researched putting into my carb'd car. I don't have all the answers, but I think I can outline it for you.
Start with the complete engine harness and ECM, either from a parts car and/or from Painless and/or junk yard. The best way to get all you need would be from a single junk car. You also need the in-tank fuel pump and lines from end-to-end (might as well swap the entire tank). I assume this would all come from the '88 IROC you're talking about. Get the air intake/cleaner parts, vapor canister, throttle & cruise cables as well. Anything that attaches to that engine, either wires or tubes, take it, all the way to where it ends.
Getting the tranny to work is the easy part, even if the 350 is auto - just use all your 305 parts, except get a new pilot bearing before you put it back together (even if the IROC is manual), and this is a good time for an all new clutch.
Yeah, Blade's a smart @$$, but unfortunately, he's right.
Hey, Blade, lighten up. Or, to quote "Field of Dreams":

Well see.. I'm only a "smartass" to people that are ignorant. I mean look at the question...
Doh !! I went righ to the point. It's obvious he's never done it if he has to ask, and YES it will be hard. He never asked for details... all he wanted was an answer to that question and he got it! lol

Hey, F*ck U Blade. I have pulled a couple of motors before, but they were out of an '81 Silverado pickup. No REAL electronics to mess with in one of those. I was curious as to how hard it is to switch all of the electronics. I figured that the tranny's should bolt pretty easy seeing as how a 305 and a 350 have the same block. I was just curious. You didn't have to be a
