I happen to have a few sets of extra heads and a few chevy blocks sitting around my garage (i bet most of us here do). I was wondering how good would my heads from the 327 work on the 305 or the 350 block. If you have done it or if it can be done let me know. And is it worth doing?

 

yeah they'd bolt up. what heads? lot of differant heads came on 327s, all were made for leaded gas and lack accesorey holes.

I've solved to accesorey hole problem. I am running a 327 with camel hump 202's with all of my accesories. power steering, air conditioning, ect. No I did not drill the heads and no I did not pay almost 300.00 to buy the aftermarket brackets. As a matter of fact most people who look at the motor think that I am running the factory setup. It is sweet! I should be getting a digital camera for xmass and I'd be happy to take some pictures and share them at that point. P.S. If you are using the old heads atleast have hardened seats installed in them.
