Car: '90 Iroc
Engine: 305 TPI

motor swap ideas?????
I want to swap out the 'ol 305 and 5 spd for 6 spd and preferably a stroker. I definitely want to keep fuel injection, but I also want to keep costs down. Are there any crate motors that a TPIS mini-ram or even my existing TPI fit onto?(such as ZZ4?) What about swapping in an LT1, I hear many differing opinions about the motor mounts fitting. I think the motor mounts won't be a big problem, but what about wiring, would I have to rewire the whole car? Please help

I haven't got much time right now but steer clear of the LT1 and 6 speed idea if you are looking to save money. Stick with an L-98. Use your existing TPI setup but make sure the engine you get is a 1988 or newer due to the angle of the two center bolt holes on the cylinder heads. Don't go with a 'stroker' if you use your existing induction system (too restrictive for a 383). You're talking a lot of money for this project regardless. I have about $6,000 in my v-6 to 350 upgrade already. I am basically making an IROC+ out of my sport coupe. It's all possible with enough time and money. Good luck to both of us. Type to you later.
