Spohn makes the crossmember and torque arm mount you need. See their ad.

For the driveshaft, I hope you got the TH400 yoke with the transmission. If not, you'll have to go out and buy one. With everything mounted (best if this includes the torque arm) and the vehicle supported with the weight on all four wheels (or at least jack stands on the rear axle), put the yoke in fully and then pull it out 1". Measure from the middle of the yoke u-joint mount to the middle of the same on the differential yoke. Take the yoke and your current driveshaft to a driveshaft shop, tell them what you're putting it in and the measurements, and have them fabricate a driveshaft with the correct yoke & u-joints. It's not all that expensive (less than the crossmember & torque arm mount), and a properly manufactured and balanced driveshaft is a joy to drive.

Well, as you can see in my sig, I have a TH700 in an original V6 car. You'll need the shorter driveshaft, torque arm, and crossmember to accommodate the longer transmission (available from boneyards). The only issue with the '82 bodies is that the "frame" does not have the holes needed to mount the back two crossmember bolts. I drilled the holes to match, elongated a drain hole towards the back of the frame pieces, and put nuts/washers inside the frame for those two bolts. A bit ugly since I didn't dress up the holes I elongated, but otherwise no problem.

If you want the lockup torque convertor (assuming you don't have the ECM for the 305), you'll need to get a switch setup for that.

The other possibility is a TH350 (which is a lot like the original TH200 externally). You'll need a torque arm mount, available from Summit or Jegs, which is only on the order of $75.

If it is a 3-speed auto from an '82 or '83 V8 f-body, it will "bolt up". Any overdrive is going to cause you the troubles noted above.

The TH400 is a great tranny if you can live without the overdrive. Since you already have it, it is probably the one that would be the least expensive to make work, and the longest lasting for the money.
