a) A 350 (also see below).
b) Depends on how much your defination of "much" is. To some, a 350 is "much".
c) No.
d) Knock sensor & module should be for a 350.
You should also have a 350 harmonic balancer. 19 lb 305 injectors can be used, but you should get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator (AFPR) so the pressure can be bumped up. 22lb 350 injectors could/should also be used and w/AFPR. Depending upon the year of your current engine vs. the 350, you may have to get a different flywheel (one-piece vs. two-piece rear main seal crank differences).
The plenum should be ported - doing so helps a 305, so definately should be done for a 350. Exhaust help (headers, y-pipe, hi-flow cat, cat-back) also does a 305 good, so do it for a 350 for sure.
Scared off yet? Good, get the catalogs and plastic out, and get that baby going!
