Anyone know of some literature pertaining to a Turbo GN Swap?

I know this has been covered several times but is there any info about the swap I can read about besides what is in the FAQ section? I have been debating the carb 350 thing VS turbo V-6 for a while and decided to go with the 3.8T if I can locate one for a reasonable price. Thanks

From what I know, the headers are the biggest hurdle to overcome, they are TA specific. The heads IIRC are off a LeSabre or something, the GN ones wont work. Try to get as much of the parts needed from one purchase as possible, in any swap its the little stuff that will kill you. A donor car is usually the best option if you dont have a complete list (and FYI almost every list is incomplete)

From what I understand it will fit. The use of 3.0 heads are so that the DP and A/C can both work. If you go with an AC delete pulley the motor itself will fit but require a custom DP. Also you need custom motor mounts and a crossmember if running the 200r4 tranny out of a GN. I am planning on doing this within the next year.

Mako is absolutely correct. The 3.8L V6 itself will fit fine with either the TTA or the GN heads. The only thing that doesn't is the downpipe. But a custom downpipe can be made that will solve the problem. A decent exhaust shop could make one. You can get motor mounts made by Steve Kaminski (mentioned in the FAQ article). He made some for mine. They are basically reproductions or the O.E. part. The 3.8L is a much better choice in my opinion than a carbed 350.
