We finished installing the new 3.1 in my sons 1984 Camaro and after tracing some bad electrical wiring we now have power and tried to crank it over but the starter(new) would not engage. He tried it later and got it to crank over then this morning it would not crank again. Is there a switch on the clutch that could be bad? Do you have to have the break depressed? I'm traveling and am not there now to test but any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Also I have a post in the transmission section if any can help me out there as well.

 

Ok clutch stuck in fifth so out it comes. We did get it to crank and out came 2 qts on the ground. missed tightening something will check and let others know what we missed so others hopefully won't.
