Hood Clearance???
depends on your intake and air cleaner choices.

u should have enough clearance if u use a drop base air cleaner assembly, it worked in my camaro with a rpm manifold and holley carb, unless the camaro has more hood clearance than the firebird, if it does i don't think it will work cause mine was just able to clear.

I've got a TA-84 with the bulge on the hood. I installed a 355 with Performer RPM intake and a 13x3 inch drop based Mr. Gasket chrome air-cleaner. When I closed the hood it touched the ram-air system. I removed the plastic stuff and also the hood insulation and carefully bent the sheetmetall flange that the ram-air system was attached too, just about 1/4 inch or so. It fits and look great.
I was able to close the hood even with the ram-air system in place but the torque from the new engine makes it hit the ramair if you don't remove it.
