Identify a 302 vs. 350

At the local boneyard I found a "350" block No. 3970010 with 4 bolt mains in good shape. MorTech says '69 302 for Z-28 or '69 -'80 350.
I'd love to get this block for $50.00, but I'm not interested in a 302.
Can you help?
Thanks!

hey buddy if you can score that block for 50 bucks an it is a 302 you'll be able sell it for enough to buy a 400 block in great condition and still have money let over.both have the same bore so that wont work.in 67 the 302's had smaller main journals and smaller rod journals.does it have the crank with it?how may bolts are on the main caps?all 68-69 302's have 4 bolt mains.or you could run the number through gm if they'll help you.most likely it's a 350 cause a dz block(302)is quite rare and valuable

my bad i must have missed the 4 bolt main part(dumbass).either way i would buy it.the only engines to come with 4 bolt mains were 67-01 350's,92-97 gen II 350's,68-69 302's,and 70-72 400's,327's never came with 4 bolt main caps no matter the year.

The 010 block is a popular and very common block. It's a high nickle casting with 4" bore and can be 2 bolt or 4 bolt. It was used in cars and trucks. It was used to produce 302, 327 and 350's.

The only way to know the displacement is to measure the stroke. The chance of finding a 302 is rare. My guess is that it's a 350. Pick it up anyway. It's a good casting. Measure the cylinders first to see if it's been bored out yet.
