210hp probably. You would be better off getting an L05 and put your LT1 cam in it and you would be closer to 240hp-250hp.

the L05 is a 350. its the motor that came in the caprices and trucks i believe.
i would DEFINITELY rethink the idea of the 305. if you have to do it, then why not get a 350? same price, more options as far as heads, etc. go if you ever decide tp upgrade down the road. and you have a increase in displacement.
when i was trying to figure out what i wanted out of my new engine after i pulled the L03, i was having the same problems you are having as far as what to do: 305/350.
after weighing the options and the price difference, the 350 was the obvious winner. you dont have to go the route i did with a performance crate engine, you could go with a regukar 350, such as the L05.
heres the one all-important question...how much do you want to spend?

I want a 350 SOOOO bad, but I cant afford the converion to a 350computer or TPI or decomputerizing it and going to a carb, if I throw a 305 back in it, I can get a totally new engine and all the upgrades above for around $1500-$1600, I am a poor college student

you dont have to change the computer. Just the prom chip, injectors and knock sensor. Will add a little over a $100 to the bill. Get a chip for a 90 Caprice cop car (ANLU) someone may chime and give a part no for that prom chip. BRAND NEW L05 from Scoggins is $1487 http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...id=128&pid=105
And that is for a brand new engine not a questionable rebuild which you CAN get from autozone for $800.

I would recommend the BRAND New engine and then add the mods as $$$ permits. At least you will have a GOOD base engine. The L05 is a 210hp stock engine. It you add the LT1 cam before installation you can squeeze an easy 20hp on a stock engine and a better rpm range.

a agree totally...you will be WAY better off with an L05.
TBI is a very easy system to work with. it's very forgiving when it comes to mismatched throttle bodies, injectors, and EPROMs. so, even if you cant afford everything at once, its not a big deal to do it piece by piece as you get the money together.
also, there are TBI parts in junkyards EVERYEHERE. it is VERY common to find TBI stuff, so you wont have to worry about paying a lot for parts that are hard to find.
