86 z28 Rebuild 350 vs 454

I'm rebuilding a 86 z28, it came with the 5.0L H.O. and I'm going to upgrade. Now, I have available to me 2 seperate 350's and a 454 for dirt cheap. Bang for buck, conversion costs included, which would be the better option? I'm mainly going to drive the car on weekends and take it to shows. Thanks in advance.

for shows, go 454. SBC-powered third gens just don't get much interest.

So...I went and got the 454...i couldn't pass it up for the price...i posted the pictures on the photobucket account.

Ok, so it's a 2 bolt main, with the rod bearings .30 and the mains .20...should i convert to 4 bolt main? And should I get a new crank. I'm shooting for 500hp.

the crank you have is fine for 500 hp, and you don't need 4 bolt mains. What you do need is better heads. Or a really amazing porting job on the peanut port heads. But easier, cheaper and better to just get the pre-'75, large oval port heads.
