454 engine torque specs needed!!!
I am just a couple steps away from swapping in my 454 and I came to a road bump. Does anyone know the correct torque specs for the motor mount brackets-to block bolts?

Same as SBC. 3/8" NC bolt, 35-40 lbs is fine. There is no spec. Just make sure they're tight.
I torque very little on my engine. Rod bolts, mains, balancer bolt, flexplate bolts and head bolts is about all that gets torqued. You learn how much torque 5/16" and 3/8" bolts need and can easily hand tighten them enough so they're tight and not overtightened enough to strip or crush gaskets. Simple fasteners don't need critical torques. You just need enough so that it won't loosen off and not so much as to strip or stretch the bolt.
I would be more critical when things are tightened into aluminum than steel. Aluminum threads can easily be stripped from overtorquing.
