HOW TO TAKE OLD GASKET OFF OF BLOCK??
Whats up guys? Well im putting the heads on my motor in the next week or so and wanna make sure its done right the first time...i need to get the old head gasket off..some of it stuck to the block pretty good and i know i need to take it off before putting the new head gaskets and tightening the heads on there....i dont got any special tools i wanna know how this can be done by just simple stuff....thanks guys any help would be great i wanna make sure i do it right so i dont gotta do it again thanks.

A good gasket scraper is as simple and cheap as it gets. I like the kind that looks like a screwdriver with a wide thin blade. I got mine from Sears about 20 years ago. Just used it this past week.

yeah i put my finger thru hell today with those dam razor blades ha ha but it cleaned the gasket off well.
