If you're asking about externally, everything will fit. The block is the same and the bolt holes in the heads and manifolds are identical. Unless the 350 has Vortec heads and intake on it.

Re: 305 to 350 help
Do you have the casting number on the block? That will tell us the type of block you have. If not, look at the valve covers. If the hold-down bolts are on the perimeter of the covers its and 86- block, if it has 4 bolts in the middle of the cover its an 87+ up block. Assuming they are the original heads of course. The 700r4 should bolt up to the block just fine regardless. However, you might need a new flexplate.

Valve cover bolt pattern will tell you what year the heads are, but not the block.

That's why I said "Assuming they are the original heads"

Otherwise the only external difference I know of between 1-piece RMS & 2-piece RMS blocks is the flexplate needed to bolt to the crank and whether or not the hole is there for the fuel pump pushrod.

If it's a 1 piece RMS you can replace the flexplate to make it work, no problem.

Yeah, the mounts are the same. Just use the clamshells from your 305 and get new replacement rubber mounts. If the 350 has clamshells on it and you don't know what they are from and they may not work. The are F-body specific, not 305/350 specific.

Re: 305 to 350 help
ok here are the details 1970 Chevy 350 (300 HP) small block bare 4-bolt main , cast 3970010 (the famous '010' block), #V0615CRE (Flint, MI); also a set of #3973487X 1.94"cylinder heads ('71-'72), plus an '1182' forged steel crank (10/10), set of SBC 400 conn. rods, a NEW balancer. will this fit?

Re: 305 to 350 help
The only spec there that determines whether or not it will fit is the block casting number. Don't worry, that block will fit just fine, I'm running the same one. Like I said above, just use the same clamshells that are currently mounted to your 305 block. Just curious, are you building a 350 or a 383?

The 1182 is a decent forged crank. The rods aren't worth anything to your build unless you put in a 3.75" stroke crank.
The heads have large chambers and would require domed pistons to keep compression up. You'd probably be better served to sell the rods and heads to buy some decent heads with smaller chambers.
Is the damper neutral balanced, or weighted?

Re: 305 to 350 help
if you're going carbed and eliminating the computer controls, the entire passenger side harness can come out of the vehicle; the guages will be coming from the C100 connector on the driver side. Depending on your needs, you may be able to depin some of what's there as well. Highly recommend grabbing a Helms manual if you're going to go that deep into the wiring - it'll definitely make some of the headaches a bit smaller

Re: 305 to 350 help
Yours might be different, but on my 92 RS, I had to leave quite a few wires intact on the passenger side harness. The wires for my blower motor and a few others that I can't remember right now are in that harness. I used my 92 shop manual to trim out the unneeded wires.
