It will fit. You'll need the entire pass side harness, the ECM, etc. to swap the TPI in.

SO IS IT BETTER TO JUST KEEP THE ECM FROM THE OTHER CAMARO TOO. OR BUY A NEW ONE

Keep the ECM from the L98 donor. Just started my LG4 carb to L98 swap today myself. Pulled TPI engine from an '87 IROC-Z.

As a California resident are you aware that you cannot legally swap in an older motor? If you do this swap you will have to get it approved by a state referee before you can smog it. The ref will check block number and ecm number. they will also check to see if all the sensors are there for a post 1990 tpi. such as map. By the way...the Camaro data page here at tgo says that it is rumored that only 50 1986 l98 thirdgens were built. Are you sure its a 5.7?

350 Tpi's did NOT come out until 87... I would double check the block numbers.

The motor mounts are the same. As for the sensors, I was able to run a scan on my donor with no codes thrown. I'm planning to use the original sensors. That said, a new O2 sensor is never a bad idea, followed by a knock sensor since its a coolant drain if you have to do it later.
