I was wondering how hard or if it's even possible to put in a 1985 TPI vette engine in my 1986 Camaro? I have the stock 305 TPI in my Camaro. It will come complete with engine, computer and wiring harness. I'm basically trying to go for a smooth swap with out having to do a lot of mods if any. The research that I've came across said that the vette engine is still an L98 block so is this possible???? Your input is appreciated. Thanks!!

85 uses a one year only computer completely different to the 86 -89 TPI cars that you don't want to know about
Because you are doing a TPI to TPI swap everything should connect up like stock

Will the headers that I have fit on the 1985 vette tpi block as well??? I did buy a set of aftermarket hooker headers for the 305 tpi. What about the throttle body? I also bought a bigger one for my 305.

 

The cast iron head Vette motor is identical to your 305, only more cubes.
Intake is the same
