so i wanted to see if i can lower my motor by buying new motor mounts?

what motor?

get BBC motor mounts if you have a SBC or LT1.

i have a sbc. you know how much it will lower it and will i have problems with my oil pan hitting ?

so just came back from parts store and if daz is talking about the motor mounts that mount on the frame bbc and sbc are the same ? any one know what he is talking about?

New mounts will raise it if anything, as the new rubber would be stiffer. Solid mounts I think lower a tad, but not alot. I take it you are having hood clearance issues?

im trying to build my twin turbo set up but i think my turbos are going to be way over the hood i dont mind some over the hood but not all

Not sure there's a hood available for that kind of setup. Even a 6" cowl is only raised in the center for the carb. Of course you could design your own hood as well.

Might rethink the design - there's several folks that have done twin turbo's here, but all the ones I've seen were brought forward where there's space (between water pump and radiator) rather than upwards like yours. Might be better to put the motor in the car, and design within the space available.

i have a 6 in cowl on my 92 and your right the hood wont clear the turbos. i might just cut the headers and make them come forward
