4 inch stroke with stock K-member
I'm debating over running a 4" (434cid) stroke or a 3.875" (421cid) stroke with a 4.155" bore on a after market block. The main problem is the oil pan clearing the stock k-member. Has any one ever had a 4" stroke with a stock k-member. If so what part number for the oil pan? An is it really worth the extra machine work and price for the oil pan just for 13cid?

Its the characteristic of the 13 cubes youll like.
A 421 will keep you plenty entertained though.
All 23 deg. stuff?

Putting money into the intake/heads/valvetrain/carb is more important in my opinion. I ran a 3.875" eagle crank, stock block, and Canton oil pan for our 82-92 f bodies. Fit nice.
Goodluck!

Yes every thing will be 23 deg., hydraulic roller cam, Full roller rocker arms.
An the Canton oil pan (15-244 - SBC F BODY RR) Was the one I was looking at. An the other truth is I'm going to be running dish pistons for now. So in the future I can add a Weiand 177 supercharger.
