I hope you didn't buy it.
0.060" over is stretching it for a factory 350 block. If the cylinder walls wear or get scratched, you're looking at sleeves or a different block.
'70 heads are nothing to write home about. Even in a Vette.
Vette blocks were the same as truck blocks.
$500 w/o a crank even is collector pricing. Go find a $100 block from an '87-'95 truck, put Vortec heads on it, bolt that in.

Re: 305 to longblock 350
Are you going to carb this motor?
Bored 60 over means it's been bored as far as it can.
EVERY 350 is out of a vette - that means absolutely NOTHING except that the seller is lying about it's origins - it's probably out of a truck which 90% of all 350's are.
How much is a crank? If a crank is $200, pass - 350's are a dime a dozen complete and running in this neck of the woods - $700 would buy you one that you can hear run before you buy! And why does this one not have a crank? Trust me, even if it is a vette engine, the crank wasn't special enough to take out for something else.
Every SBC is all the same, so don't bother asking if this one or that one will bolt up - they all will, inclusing 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350.

Skip the kit, get the individual pieces seperately. That air filter won't work, so it's a waste of time/money. Order the intake alone ($187.50), then any Pep Boys has that same carb (1406) on the shelf at $249, then just get gaskets and bolts locally as well.
I don't like kits - you always end up paying for something you can't use.
