hi i have a 305 camaro m5 and i want to drop a 350 from a trans am. what is all recommended before just rushin into the swap? and will i be able to use the the same 5 speed tranny from my camaro? thanks for taking the time out to give me any helpful information

oh sorry its a 350 TBI from a 86 trans am

 

Sweet, I live in Chula Vista. I decited to put off the swap for a week or so, I wanna rebuild the heads and do a lil port an polish before it gose in, plus im still waiting for the cam and headders to show up. Ill let you know when i get started an how it all works out.

'86 Trans Am's didn't come with 350 or TBI.

 

Wll I could be wrong about the intake but it was label a 5.7 I saw the factory sticker

 

May be a GM replacement engine. Factory installed engines didn't have a "350" sticker on them. Block & head casting #'s would help identify it.

But, it didn't have TBI from the factory if it is an '86.

 

oh thanks for the info on that but i think ima just go with a 350 TPI from Z28. Cant give any into on the motor cause i havent ordered it from the website. but as far as this one goes what would be necessary for it? it comes with wring harness computer and accessories
