1987 Camaro Engine Options
Hi all,
In the spring I will be swapping out the 5.0 with auto trans out of my 1987 Camaro. I'm wide open for options, any ideas would be great. If Possible I would like to remove all the emissions and A/c is not needed.
Thanks.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
The emissions equipment is required if the vehicle is operated on public streets and highways in the United States.
Options are many. A total upgrade of the exhaust system should be assumed regardless of which option you choose.
The easiest is to get a 350 shortblock and put it in place of the 305 shortblock. From there, full long block 350 choices are plentiful. There are fewer and fewer choices from GM, but the aftermarket is filling the void.
You can get more exotic with LTx or LSx swaps. There are stickies on those topics.
