Re: 350 engine question

Well ok then. It's a stock standard build with what amounts to a RV cam.One that sounds like a flat tappet cam as well. Most shops the trend these days is to build a roller hyro unless the customer insists on a flat tappet. Are they giving any guarantee??.I think it wouldn't be that hard for you build one yourself at that price providing you found a block that didn't need to be bored.I would question why this one didn't.Most do.

As far as I know there was no guarantee. yea I kninda thought I could build that for that price, but every block I find ppl want like 300 bucks for. heck not long ago I could find them all day for 50-100. thanks again.

Re: 350 engine question

i would want to know more specifics on the pistons & heads. that cam is basically stock or near stock. im guessing its a low compression engine using lots of cheap parts with some chrome. no warranty? id be very leary of doing business this way. sounds like theyre giving you a sales pitch to hurry up and buy now before its too late, krap. if your looking for a high performance engine,...i doubt this is it. maybe for an old work truck? this is my honest thoughts. take your time, do some research, shop around. best of luck.

Re: 350 engine question

i have about 1,000 bucks to get a engine and shipping(if it needs shipped). I really dont want a used engine, so reman or new only. I know it might be hard to find one for 1,000. It dont need to be complete but like to have up to at least the heads(but I also have my heads from my tpi 305) that I could use. I can take my time and buy the rest i need. Figured I'd throw this out there as an option. If anyone has a suggestion I know your let me know. Thanks again.
