got my motor spec sheet!
welll at least some of it.
Any idea of power? 1/4 mile times with a 5 speed? what gears i should put in it?
*Timing 15* BTDC
Gap 0.45-0.55
350 - 0.40 over L-82 block
Comp cams magnum 292
501 lift
Dart s/r Torker port & polish.*
202 valves intake
160 valves exhaust
4 bolt mains
Long tube headers
True duals
Curious how fast it'll go

"L-82" doesn't matter. For the purposes at hand, either it's a 350, or it's something else; once the guts have been taken out and the block bored, they're basically all equal. Don't pay a penny extra for that monkey-spank.
Dart doesn't make the S/R Torquer heads. World does. http://www.worldcastings.com/product...ron-heads.html Find out for sure what heads they REALLY are. If they're the World ones, they're pretty much stock replacement units; legal in many racing classes as "stock" in fact. Not much of a performance piece. Obviously the valve sizes you gave are the stock ones that World uses; again, nothing special. I'd be more concerned about which valve spring option the builder ordered them with, than in spanking off about the valve sizes.
Same for the plug gap... that has NO BUSINESS in the BOM. Pure unadulterated spank-off. And the true duals as well: that's not enough motor to be bothered going to all that trouble and extra weight. Net-net, it'll slow the car down; and long term, cause far more trouble than it's worth. If the LS1 cars can put over 400 HP to the wheels through single exh, then so can you.
15° base timing will be too little. It will need about 36° of "total" timing with vac adv disconnected; about 18 - 20° at idle, starting to advance by about 1200 RPM, and "all in" by about 2500 RPM; and probably 15° of vac adv on top of that.
Yes the old obsolete 292H has .501" lift on both valves.
Not sure where the one guy got the idea it has a Torker II intake... no intake is mentioned that I can see. The Perf RPM would probably be a good choice though.
With that cam, it'll need 3.73s MINIMUM; and will still be sluggish on the street. Will make good mid to top end power though, should get up "on the cam" at about 4500 RPM and pull good to 6500 or so.

I got the idea that he had a tourqer II intake by looking at pics in his other thread showing his new engine with said intake on it.

am i better off with 4.11s? this motor used to be in a 70 k10. i just copied and pasted what i had, i know some of it is irrelevent. why would the timing be set like thast? i though that was odd.
