will this stand be alright

Noob question, does anybody know if this stand going to be good enough for a sbc? Im gonna tear down a 350 and the budget is tight and this thing is cheap. The seller doesn't know the brand or specs but says it'll hold it, but like I said ima noob lol.

Thanks

Ahh I see your point, is it bc only 3took wheels wouldn't be stable? Plan on putting the thing in the corner and leaving it there

Re: will this stand be alright

I built my first motor on a 3 wheeler like that, and then it held a 305 for years. With the fully dressed motor, the motor seemed to tilt down quite a bit, but it never went anywhere.

Now I only use that stand to hold the motors coming out of the cars. For the $50-60 that a better stand costs, I don't want to risk tipping over a 3 wheeler and trashing a good motor.

Re: will this stand be alright

yea, i used to have a 3 wheeler. they want to tip easy....best way to move it around is to pull it from the back, never push it. shold be fine to hold a motor in the corner of the garage for long periods of time.

Re: will this stand be alright

I had a stand like that a long time ago. I welded a cross bar across the front foot just to make sure in the event it started tipping, it wouldnt go far.
