3.4 tranny on 2.8 engine???
hey guys i have a 89 firebird with a 2.8l in it and on craigslist theres a cheap tranny that came out of a 1994 3.4 firebird i know if it was a 3.1 it would work but could i put that 3.4 tranny with my 2.8 engine???

Right in the middle of doing this myself. Yes, the 3.4 transmission will work, however there may be some other minor mods needed.

Make sure you read up on the T5 swap threads 
I believe the only issue you will have is that the shifter may hit the console. I've been told we can get a shifter from an '82-'92 and use that instead.
