what kind of motor mounts With a stock pan and motor mounts should be no problem Mine went in using stock SBC mounts

I never had a problems with mine when I had a stock k-member. Started with stock mounts then went to solid mounts. I think I was always using a Moroso "Chevelle" pan and never had a clearance problem with it.
When I put in a tubular k-member, I eliminated the side mounts and used a motorplate to support the engine. With the motorplate, I lowered the engine and moved it back as much as I could.

Depends on the pan you have.
If it's a truck or full-size car pan, good chance it won't fit. The front of the sump will hit the exhaust and/or the frame.
If it's a Chevelle, MC, or Camaro pan, drop right in.
Get the right pan and your problems will magically vanish.
