5.7 T5 Swap Bellhousing Problem
I just swapped out my 5.0 for a 5.7 and the bell housing has a gap between it and the block. I'm running the stock T5. The top bell housing bolts are tight but the bottom bolts on either side won't snug up. Is there anything I can do short of pulling the motor and trans again?

I moved this to its own thread because, although your car is a Pontiac, the engines you're talking about are not.

Re: 5.7 T5 Swap Bellhousing Problem
Did you center the clutch disc?
Is bellhousing sitting on the alignment dowels square
And loosen the top bolts off before you break or bend something.
Something is stopping trans pulling up square.
You never only tighten one set of bolts; should do all bolts progressively
