Lt5 head swap??
Not sure if this is the right Place for this but was wondering if any one has ever seen or heard of lt5 heads being put on a l98? I've always wanted "hemi" style heads on my l98 and this is the closest I can find that are readily available at a decent price

I have a 90 ZR-1 and I can assure you that it is impossible. Dominion used to make 4 valve heads for a SBC but I haven't seen a set in a while.

Re: Lt5 head swap??
Nothing on the Lotus / Mercury made LT5 block interchanges with a SBC except the GM badge
WHY.???
Don't you think if it was a worthwhile swap more guys ( esp racers ) would be using them
$10 ,000 for ARIA heads
or ARAO

If you buy a LS engine you can have hemi heads
http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/sh...80&postcount=1
FOR $19,000

Re: Lt5 head swap??
I'm sure there is probably a way to make it work
Oh and why you ask...well why is the sky blue?...I want to because I can and don't care if someone is apposed to my ideas, I think it would be cool as hell to have the hemi look with my L98 plus hemi style heads give a pretty decent power gain if you don't want to run a blower, oh yeah and racers don't care about having hemi heads cause they prefer a supercharger but I'm not looking to add that much power right now

Re: Lt5 head swap??
Not many people remember that the hemispheracle design was a chevrolet design and they saw it was going to cost a ton to develope so they sold it to dodge. Dodge made hemis back in the 50s I know and possibly the 40s. The mopar bunch like to brag that the hemi is the king of the muscle car era which it wasn't but the idiots don't realize that they are praying to the chevrolet god. Actually the Buick stage 3 grandsport turned in the best times of all the muscle cars from 1970 back. Back to the hemi question. In 1998 I saw an advertisement of sbc heads that were 4 valve hemi design made by a company called dominion. I think the cylinder head had a specific name but I can't remember it but the company name was Dominion. I have an extra LT-5 block, plenum, two heads, crank, rods and pistons, plenum, fuel rail with injectors but none of it will interchange. There is a factory, purple third gen with yellow flames that has a LT-5 in it with the ZF six speed. My LT-5 heads flowed 305 CFM with the factory 390 lift cam. The ZF six speed is about the best gear box they ever made.
