starting a swap

starting my first swap im going from tbi to a carb and wirings not my strong point i need to know what wires need to be connected to to get the engine started,how to hook up the ignition and etc.

You will only need the switched ignition power to the coil and tachometer if applicable tci makes a lockup kit for the 700r4.

and all the other wires from the battery to the starter and to the alternator are the same?

Not sure how much your ripping out. But you need the purple wire from the ignition switch to the starter s solenoid . The bat to starter charging system wires and tbi uses the fan relay and coolant temp sensor on the passenger head to control the cooling fan.

the fans already hooked up to a switch but what about the alt what goes to that

I don't have a schematic for your car but I think there are 2 wires on your alt brown that goes to the charging light and red that goes to the fan relay both stay .

On my starter, i have 3 red wires to power and a single purple wire(not sure what its called) from the key, since my VATS is out, i have push button on my 91 RS carbed.
