the story and build

Well I never cared for the 3rd gen I didn't see much of them, I just wasn't looking. I want a M6 camaro ss 98-02. But not comming from money or ppl to help me buy a car 10 was way out my price range. I had a Honda and liked it so I wanted a newer one. It was down to a 03 RSX-S that needed rebuilt, and I found a IROC 305 TPI running and fine. The RSX wouldn't let it go for 1k (needs a new k member, drove into lake head first) and the Camaro was 2500. So I got the camaro.

I did some racing in the camaro and wanted to go faster. I didn't have the space to swap a 350 so I built up the to of the 305. It didn't go well, but I didn't give up on it. With me only driving it for almost a year and working on it for 2 most ppl would gave in. I got tired of the 305 crap and wanted to start fresh. My best buddy had a 355 that he had to go in his 84 TA but didn't go threw and wanted to sell everything so I got it for cheap. With the 305 top end being new with about 100 or less miles on it I swaped everything over.

So I had the 355 with me but I didn't buy it yet because I wanted the 305 to work. On day I got really mad and 30mins later

Re: the story and build

So I bought the motor and preped it to go in. I called summit and got the specs for the motor. This cam from them as a 225hp and I think 400ft lb with 58 cc heads 9.2 to 1 CR and a summit 9000 cam with .454 lift. So this was no HO motor. I was ok with that because I didn't have the money for a powerful motor. So I looked around and got the biggest cam that is good with efi and won't need a high stall and too big for my heads.

Re: the story and build

So I was in the middle of my first full swap and didn't think much of it. With the help of TGO I got every thing I needed for the swap. While the engine was out I put some new mounts in, cleaned up the engine bay, and put a AC delete box in. I tucked some of the harness (to me not worth doing)

I had come out by the battery is

Re: the story and build

Y'all know how a swap lookes so not but to upload a butt load of pics. Start up vid, I have to keep hitting the gas to keep it running and it don't rev really just stays at idle. I played with the timing, the ets wire is unplugled and AB ports on the obd1 is in bypass mode. The TPS is set. I looked on here and the web with no luck.

sounds like it needs some timing and rocker adjustments. although the stickers probably add some hp.

Re: the story and build

That's what 100% I think. I have all the stickers from the stuff I got, comp, summit, pcmofnc all that and have no clue where to up them, I will just stick them on my tool box. So I just loosen them up while its running and adjust from there 1 by 1

I have no clue what you are talking about. What "engine seal" and from what?
