depends on the car.. depends on the heads.. depends on the exhaust... depends on what you want out of it...

I have stock heads right now but I want to put good aluminum heads with a stage 3 intake manifold I have a stage 2 aluminum right now
As for the cam I want to buy the cam first but I want something with a lot of power I want it so that I can you know play with it every once in awhile on the weekends cruising but not exaggerated either I was looking on oreilly auto parts and I kind of had something like this in mind http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...t+-+peformance

Read and follow.Why??. Because that is the way it works and no one part like a cam makes a difference.

Re: Recommendations on camshaft

To answer the OP....my advise is to figure out what you want from the car in the end. If you want 400 hp it requires certain things...if you want 600hp it takes different things.

If you are willing to swap intake cam and heads, id pull the motor and have the bottom freshened up. Also...more head and power may require new pistons etc...then youll need a converter...gears...etc.

Note to members who have posted on this thread:

I just spent about half an hour cleaning up this thread. That is approximately 30 minutes of my life I will not get back. I do not get paid to do this. I could have spent that time with my family or working on my Camaro. Instead, I spent it deleting content that was in violation of thirdgen.org terms and conditions. For that, I do not thank you.

A couple of you are coming very close to a permanent ban. Any recurrence, and that is what you'll get.

As a reminder, if you see inappropriate content posted on this Board, you are to report it. DO NOT RESPOND IN KIND! It is not your job to make character assessments or put anyone in their place.

thirdgen.org is NOT here to stroke your cyper-ego. Keep your comments technical and clean. If you wouldn't say it to your mother's face, don't post it here. If it is in violation of Board policies and you would say it to your mother's face, don't post it here.

If you are unclear on the conditions you agreed to when you signed up on thirdgen.org, the Terms of Use are linked at the bottom of every page. In addition, at the top of every forum is a link to ThirdGen.Org Board guidelines. I suggest you read and re-familiarize yourself with both.

If you STILL don't know how you should behave, then feel free to PM a moderator or administrator.
