91 RS with TPI?
91 RS with TPI?
I purchased a car a few years back that I just got the desire to get on the street. Its a convertible 91 RS. When looking under the hood I noticed it has TPI. My question is how can I find out if the original L08 engine was in fact replaced with an L98? Ive noticed that the distributor is still the same one the 91 RS uses. Maybe the previous owner just got rid of the Carb and installed a TPI.
If that's the case should the distributor be swapped out as well? Both blocks use different spark plugs and wires according to the auto parts guy.
Any help would be wonderful.

You can pop a valve cover and read the head casting number. Use a mirror and read the block number on the back side drivers side . Lo8 ? Do you mean Lo3 ?
Injector numbers and prom id inside the ecm will also tell a story of what may be between the fender wells.

and either 5.0 or 5.7 will be cast in the shown location
If you have a casting # at that location then the block is not original
