The TPI intake won't work on the 5.3 block/heads

Re: 5.3 with TPI???

The architecture of the 5.3 (LS based engine) is completely different than the TPI built for a GEN 1 block. Nothing would match up, the intake ports on LS based engines are much taller than the gen 1 style engines, and there are plenty of other differences. TPI isn't that great anyway, the stock 5.3 intake is probably better.

Re: 5.3 with TPI???

Same reason it won't work on a big block, Frod, Xler, or whatever else.

None of the parts line up. Bolt holes don't match. Parts are the wrong size. Things are in different places. Maybe a few other minor details.

Why would you want to ruin a good motor by sticking THAT on it, anyway??

And I hear the TPI distributors won't fit either, lol.

5.3 doesn't even have a distributor. If the OP would simply look at the two different engines, the original question would have answered its self.

Yep, but they're not OEM. I am running one, though.
