Finally done! 400 Ponies. Just need a hood!
Finally finished my swap. Was actually pretty easy. The damn frame connectors were a bigger pain in the ***. Well, with the hooker headers on she was a tight fit. Im so glad I don't have any emissions laws in this part of the world haha I have no room for smog **** with all this engine wooohoo next pics she will be burnt copper metallic with a 2 inch cowl hood. high gloss top coat love it

Hahah I still have the original brochures from 85. Along with all new weather stripping, replacement decals, badges, even the roof stowage instructions preserved in wax paper. lol

That is awesome! That's how clean I want mine to eventually be. Is all the A/C stuff new or refurbished? It all looks brand new.

The air conditioning stuff is all new.
The new pump came with the crate engine, the hoses are from four seasons ordered off of summit racing for a 1988 camaro (since the A/C pump stock on mine was on the drivers side) However I hate these coolant hoses. They loosen off after a heat cycle and leak a bit. I'm going to order high quality silicone hoses I think. As for the condensor and evaporator they are original.

I have the previous generation of that engine and love it, I know you will too with the ZZ5. Best starting engine i've ever had. enjoy!!!

I know it's crazy how well it fires up. That Holley street avenger 770 is a great carb

LOOKS GREAT looking to do the same to my 88 iroc..will the factory hood fit or do you have to put the 2" hood on??? did you get it from summit thats the one im looking at thanks

I went with the ZZ5 Crate from Chevrolet. It's awesome I love it so far.
