350 TPI Swap Questions
Hello All,
I am swapping a 350 TPI from a 91 Corvette into my 88 Firebird that currently has a 305 TPI. A few general questions:
Where can I buy new stock motor mounts? I have seen the "solid" motor mounts from UMI, but is there anywhere you can get the stock rubber mounts?
Are the stock throttle bodies on the 305 TPI and 350 TPI the same? Or do they differ depending on engine size?
My Machine shop guy is saying that I can bump the cam up "1 degree" and be ok with the stock chip tune. Is this true? How much can you change the cam without causing problems with the stock tune? I do not want to have to get the PROM retuned right now.
Thanks!

Re: 350 TPI Swap Questions
I don't know if 1 degree is gonna be worth it but usually you change the cam and the tune needs to change. Throttle bodies are the same 48mm the only change was the 5.0 had 19lb injectors the 5.7 got 22lb injectors. the TPI system was really designed around the 5.0 engine. The 5.7 runs good with it but with good heads/cam/intake and exhaust upgrades it will come alive. You will need a tune with those mods though. That's why I decided to go to a 6.0 LSx on my Z28. By the time you go to those mods on an L98 you could almost go LS and have more power and efficiency.

Re: 350 TPI Swap Questions
Yeah the machine shop guy said I could go one degree up and no further without needing a retune; which is what I am going for (budget build). Thanks for the info. on the throttle bodies. I am trying to a budget build so I am sticking with the stock vette aluminum heads and stock intake etc.
Anybody else with motor mount info. or cam knowledge?
