inline fuel pump
im swapping a 1990 rs 305 tbi to carbed do to some ecm and fuel issues how hard would it be to put in and inline pump for the fuel system any help would be much appreciated

Most likely you will not be able to draw fuel from the supply line with a non working in tank fuel pump.
Putting an inline pump on is the easy part. You have 3 ways to plumb it.
1) remove fuel sending unit and pump out of tank and replace with older style w/o the pump on it.
2) remove fuel sending unit and pump out of tank and replace the pump with a length of hard line the same length as pump, then re install.
3) Disable the in tank pump, unplg it, remove relay and fuse. Then use the factory return line as your new supply line. Mount your new inline pump on the return line and hook it up to the carb... It will work perfect, but the smaller 5/16" line will not support as much power. It should feed up to 300-350 HP w/o probs though.
